Hey, r/lfg!

Me and three other lads from the Philippines are looking for a DM to have a great time with us. We took a break to obsess over Baldur's Gate 3 after our previous campaign, and now we're ready to get a new one started.

So before anything else, let me cover some information you'd probably like to know!

Who are we?

Our group is made up of players that have been playing for about ten years now, so we've had quite a few games already! We're huge on roleplay and characterization, and we love to make decisions that are entertaining narratively, as opposed to entirely optimized. We like to have fun, get to know NPCs, and solve problems that our DMs throw our way.

We're all dudes in our mid-twenties and we're all pretty chill. We like games. We like roleplay. And we love sharing some laughs over D&D! Vibes are the most important, so above all else, we want to make sure everyone is having a good time.

So! If you're a DM that wants to make some new friends and run a campaign, please come on by! We'd love to get to know you :D

What are we looking for?

We don't have strict requirements of you; we don't need a Matt or a Brennan, nor do we expect you to be the kind of DM that has to run a perfect game every time. What matters most is that you love the game and the story we're telling together!

That's the general thing. But some of the more specific things we're looking for in a DM are:

• Someone who loves roleplay, but doesn't neglect combat or exploration.
• A DM that is happy to go along with shenanigans, but isn't afraid to let things get serious.
• Yes-and storytelling! We can take no for an answer, though we appreciate a DM that is reasonable and collaborates with us.
• Rule of cool. We don't want to break the game or get away with everything. But we also want to do cool things! So please enable our aura-farming.
• Communication goes without saying, so just talk to us. We'll make sure to hear you out!

There's a lot of things we could cover here, but these are what I feel are the most important. The rest is accessory. If there's any questions or clarifications you might have, you can throw it into the form at the end!

What can you expect as our DM?

Our group consists of a Destiny 2 player, a finance bro, the loser writing this post, and also Karlo. We play for vibes and we're happy to exist in whatever world you choose for us. Some of the things you'd probably want to know are:

• We love interaction! Between in-party banter, NPC talks, and even interacting with the setting itself, we're all very active players.
• Narrative beats actually work on us! If you throw us a plot thread, we'll bite.
• We're open to both pre-written campaigns and homebrew.
• The spotlight is something we like to share. No one ever tries to be the main character of the campaign, so expect us to take turns!
• Karlo.
• We like to work our backstories into the narrative. We'll be asking to flesh them out with your help to match what you have in store.
• Creativity! Or at least, we try. At the very least, we can promise you that in our attempts to solve a problem, we will definitely make things worse.

In short, I'm pretty confident we'll treat you well! We do our best to be good players, and we know the DM deserves to have fun too. We're only occasionally stupid enough to need the DM to save us. You can trust us!
