My primary garage is close to livestock auctions and livestock farms. I'd like to try my hand at hauling livestock. The SCS livestock trailer is really outdated (haven't seen one like that since the 70's). Which means I must take the plunge to adding a mod to my base game. What is the process to install and which mod or mods should I consider?
The net profitability of my newbie AI drivers is low. It would take 60 to 70 of their short run loads to pay for the Day truck. I'm wondering if my driving time is part of the problem.
I frequently start new jobs in late afternoon or early evening. When that happens, I'll drive through the night and part of the next day before resting. I've read that ATS AI drivers only operate during the day. Am I diminishing their productivity by my night driving?
Other times I just drive for an hour or two in real time. Do short periods of operation by me as owner impact their productivity?
How do I encourage the newbie drivers to take longer trips with high value cargo? Most of their trips are less than 400 miles. I've given driving preference to high value cargo first then long distance runs second.
My AI drivers operate with day cabs. Would they drive longer runs if they had a cab with sleeper?
I have a single purchased truck and decided to buy a new garage and hire a driver. I parked my existing in the new garage. I hired the driver and then when to the dealership to truck for the new driver. I make the purchase and am the given the option of driving the new truck to my garage. Okay, easy to do. I arrive at the garage and enter. Hmmm, my existing truck is gone (perhaps teleported to my old garage). The new truck shows up on the list when I use garage manager but does not show up when I go to driver manager. I am listed as the driver of the new truck. Any suggestions on how to fix this situation? I want both trucks at the new garage and assign the new driver to the new day truck and I keep my minimally used truck with a sleeper.
Update, the new truck is now at the old garage. The new driver is not assigned to any truck. I am NOT listed as a driver. How do I add myself as a driver (owner operator) and the designated driver of the truck with sleeper?
