Is installing capital TU updates possible on an external hard drive?
I have the 4gb memory unit Xbox slim with no internal hdd(yet). I’m using A Bad Avatar via usb stick. I have lowercase tu’s installed on the memory unit, which I now have come to understand is a big no no. Didn’t know you’re supposed to avoid using the memory unit as much as possible. Downloading them from unity via aurora the only option is the MU, though it seems i can manually load them onto the external and they show up. Whether they work or not i have yet to test.
Regardless, the tu’s work fine, but I cannot get the TU’s to work. They show up in the title updates page, I can download them from unity via aurora, I can enable them, but starting the game and the menu on the bottom right still shows tu:0. I tried with halo 3, making sure the media ids match, trying it via the memory unit and the external, but to no avail.
So is it even possible? Has anyone gotten TU’s to work on an external hard drive. Will tu’s work on an external?
