Just finished reading deluxe volume 14 and I have so many thoughts/emotions

Preamble: Little bit of a rambly post, and just sharing thoughts. Just wanted to get these thoughts out there so feel free to continue scrolling if these posts don't interest you.

This series has been something in my radar for such a long time, but I usually make a habit of not getting into something that isn't finished, or worse, the author has health issues (big reason I've never read hxh).

A friend of mine had the first 2 deluxe volumes, so I thought why not, and was immediately hooked. I instantly bought all 14 for myself and have been reading them for a good part of 6 months.

I just finished volume 14, and damn, the fact that Miura-san has created such an inspired series that has such in-depth characters (the fact I can't truly >!hate Griffith AND also want to follow him is wild!<). And now the fact that he clearly had a future vision, but I could see the story going in so many directions and don't know where it may go, while also knowing he is gone just leaves me with a void.

I am very aware that the series is continuing and by god will I be following it, but I could imagine it just not feeling the same. I just feel this hollowness in me (this is why I don't read incomplete series 😂).

I can also completely understand why this series has gone on and inspired so many others, and this series may have been the final thing that motivates me to write my own stuff, which is why I can say without a doubt this series will always have a special place in my heart, and I have to thank Miura and his team for that.

If you got this far, I just want to say thanks for listening to my ramblings. I probably could have gone on, but I just wanted to get this off my chest and I look forward to what this series has to hold because damn has it been an incredible journey so far.
