EU R1 Tournament - Hero Pick Rates
The R1 tournament was a $10000 prize pool tournament that happened this last weekend. The above image shows the pick and ban rates of all heroes across the R1 playoffs section of the tournament, which featured the three well known DLNS EU teams (Lowkey W, Abrahams, Leviathan) as well as the team Fearless Furies. You can find the vods of the matches on the R1 Tourney Youtube channel (the matches counted here are from the last two youtube vods).
Most takeaways from this data are self explanatory, but notable is the dominance of Doorman this patch. In 9 games, he was banned by the Archmother (never banned by Hidden King). In the other 3 games, Doorman was the very first pick of the draft. The Archmother team is generally forced to ban Doorman first and if they don't, they are always punished for it.
Of course, this is not a conclusive ranking of hero power in the meta; this data just represents the opinions and draft strategies of 4 EU teams in a competitive setting.
Also I'm not affiliated with R1 or anything, I just created this caused I needed to motivate myself to do something :3 now that I have code to process data and generate these images I'll probably create future graphics for other tournaments such as the upcoming Deathy NA.
Edit: Here's the link to the R1 Youtube channel with vods of the coverage of the tournament (it is in Russian since it's a Russian tournament), they have vods on Twitch too. It seems like the match ids are hidden and this is probably an intentional decision by the organizers of R1.
