How would the magical governments react to a criminal wizard requesting asylum with a muggle government?

How would the magical world react to a wizard breaking the statute of secrecy in an official request for asylum? Assuming the request is made in such a way that his situation is widely known throughout government agencies before aurors could intervene. Obliviating everybody connected is not an option.

Do you think the two governments would negotiate the issue in good faith? Or would it lead to full blown diplomatic crisis with the magical government making the case that it and its citizens are exempt from international law?

I love collecting old sci-fi and fantasy paperbacks. When I’m looking for a book, I always try to get the most interesting old mass market paperback I can find. That’s how I found ended up with my Ace copy of A Wizard of Earthsea a while ago.

I wanted to keep reading the series after I finished it, but an interesting thing about it is that it was published over a period of more than 30 years, so you end up with a pretty wide variation of cover art and styles over the years.

Would this turn the tide of the declining Soviet Union? How would religious institutions around the world react to the resurrection of man villainized by the west for the majority of the last century?

I ordered this book for my collection of Ursula K. Le Guin paperbacks, and the seller slapped this huge sticker on the back of it. I’m kind of frustrated that they did that, but I guess I’m not worried about resale or anything, so it doesn’t matter that much. I just feel like it’s not the condition that I paid for with it on there. Am I better off just leaving it?
