i believe the reason jax bullies the other cast members is because he got bullied himself before entering the circus.

it's common that past bullying victims start bullying others so they won't get bullied themself. this is so that they themselves won't get bullied again.

in episode 8 during the scene where caine attacks the cast with their biggest fears, that Jax was being laughed at and his skin got ripped off representing him becoming "vulnerable" to others.

as a past bullying victim i feel very connected to his character because of this.
(note that i don't bully people myself)
