25WoL Live Feed Appreciation

I love watching these live feeds. The issues, the hiccups, the control center chiming in, seeing backstage, it's all really good.

What's frustrating is the posts here thinking this live feed is supposed to be a finished product and being baffled that there's actual problems during taping sometimes. This isn't meant to be a replacement for the real show. The finished product will air in the Fall, of course. This is a behind-the-scenes feed of them taping a show.

What I love is how candid Meredith is. "I'll tell you what I'm doing, I'm just reading!" I heard Carson Kressley make two off-color jokes during his stint. You can see the chatter between contestants and celebs directly.

Yeah, 25WoL is a very low budget show. Fox First Run, the main producer of the show, is not a company that's doing well. They've cut almost all the other shows they had, even ones like Dish Nation that was approaching ten years. So I'm just thankful this is still on the air, even in this 'zoom' format. I think it's fun to always see the faces of the contestants as they try to work out clues. And I'm happy to have this on TV.

Who's the announcer during the opening credits? I actually like the way she announces each name like she's encouraging the audience to cheer for each person. Almost the way you'd say someone's name when they're walking out on a stage, elongated and loud. I don't know how else to explain it lol. And the crowd is actually loud enough to be heard in the mix, unlike US SNL lately where they keep the audience mics wayyy down.

Darrel Hammond in the US is just okay as an announcer, tbh. He doesn't sound like he's announcing to an excited live audience. Don Pardo was way better at this.

I know these are very specific thoughts but I figured it belongs here lol. Loving SNL UK overall, even if I have some nitpicks (Like, I'd love to see a bigger variety of bumpers going into and coming back from the commercial break)
