Truth off my chest: I suck.
I'm using AI to fully generate my story, and I made the mistake of letting my mom read it. The real mistake was that I didn't do a proper job explaining how AI was actually involved. I tried a second time to clarify that AI was doing the writing, but I still came up short.
Now she's telling me it's good writing — praising specific parts, specific sentences — and I just say thank you. But inside, I know I didn't write any of it. I haven't written anything. I explain the idea in my head, tell AI what I want, and it generates everything.
She doesn't understand that, even though that IS what I said to her. I kept saying "these are my ideas, I tell AI and it writes them" — but she still seems to think I'm doing the writing. I feel so bad. I think it's just that her brain can't wrap around the fact that AI can actually do that. And I know it's my fault for not explaining it better.
Anyone else dealt with this?
