About to remodel my apartment…trying to figure out where to begin.
Hey, my mom bought this house decades ago and never fixed up the upstairs; as she’s getting older I’ve decided to fix it up and move in to help her out and have a place with reasonable rent. Here are the living and dining room pics, the kitchen is the one with the coolers in it. They (my mom and aunts) have mostly used the space for storage. The holes in the ceiling happened recently, so there aren’t any animals in the apartment itself. What are your thoughts on the project from what you can see of the three spaces? Where should I start once we get all their stuff out and into storage and pull the knob and tube wiring out? My uncle’s an electrician, so I’m not worried about the wiring, only ensuring the plumbing is solid, and the walls and ceilings are good.
