Do stereo versions of pedals run in mono in-mono out, sound worse than their pure mono versions?

I am debating selling my stereo Walrus Julianna pedal because it sounds sharper and more digital than a lot of demos of the original mono Julia, and I've noticed this in comparison videos between the two as well.

ChatGPT says it's partially because of the stereo split being re-summed to output as mono, and that the mono versions of pedals sound better run in mono for this reason.

Is this true or is ChatGPT just making stuff up like it does half the time?

Mono versions of pedals better than their stereo versions when run in pure mono?

So I struck a deal with my local guitar shop for a Gibson Custom Shop '57 Junior VOS for $2200, believe it is a 2017 based on serial number and details.

I was able to work with him to get it for $400 below listed price. It has a headstock fracture repair, done by the shop who are respected guitar techs (Full 5 star Google review average, was a shop chosen to receive the first release of a Paul McCartney signature release, so not a no name shop), and the repair was done with a erlewine neck jig and is guaranteed under warranty to not fracture again. Comes with hardshell case, all documentation COA and all that, and he threw in a really nice $50 guitar strap, as well as 2 free setups and string changes a year for life.

Is this a go? Seems like an amazing deal, feel like this could be my "One Guitar". I brought in my 2019 Junior DC Tribute to compare, and at home on my amp that guitar was the best thing I had ever heard, and the Custom Shop Junior sounded even better. So I'm planning to sell the DC Tribute and a bunch of other equipment to snag this Custom Junior.
