Disclaimer: I know about the error margins, but did not expect them to make one feel like a Fine and the other like an Extra Fine.
I need advice - buying another its not the problem itself (although it can get expensive). The problem that worries me is what happens when I need a replacement due to lost, damaged or other issues? How can you ensure or at least make sure your chances of getting a similar one are high? Going to a store and checking several? Eye balling can turn biased fast.
Or do you buy a batch and return the ones you don't like?
While we're on the subject, what other brands ensure low variance in their extra fines? I love lamy, but this alone is a bit off-putting.
Thanks!
