So to clarify I have spent my last three years working for Suffolk County Community College admissions office and I am going to graduate and loose that job soon so that's sad for me. So maybe I have Suffolk brain but I really cannot figure out how this course search works? (well I do and I don't. I guess I do not feel confident in it)
Context: I am in the social work program and its already very strict course load (no ability for part time) and I'm looking for HWC 300 and there is only one section? Everyone has been telling me "don't worry there are plenty of sections" and I am freaking out because there is only one and it ends at 9pm but I work nights at my other job.
Plus what I see on the worksheet they emailed me is completely different then what shows up on the portal. what is the difference between HWC 300 or HWC 300-01? I am super confused and I do not understand and trying to get ahold of someone to help me is a nightmare. I asked if there is a navigate advisor because I saw online that is the advising office for stony brook but then during the social worker zoom meeting they said they do not use navigate.
I am way more use to Suffolk's way of doing things ;-;
they had us do some presentation the other day and it was like five minutes of a presentation that did not explain anything. and then after we were allowed to ask questions but she was kinda intimidating while answering.
Idk I guess I just need to be hand held through the process.
