*At lake house helping my parents get everything in order for the season…went to do a load of work clothes…*

Me: “I’m going to put the laundry on. Dad, is all of your dirty stuff ready to go? Did you check your pockets this time?”

Dad: “Yep. All good to go. Threw some of it in the machine already.”

*put the wash on…go back upstairs…CLUNK, CLUNK, CLUNK. Run back down to the laundry room to check the washer…*

Me: “Dad, any particular reason you wanted to wash that 9/16th wrench you were using on the dock today?”

Dad: 😳

Luckily, Mom was out of earshot…
