In the footage, she recounts using the same racial slur toward a person in custody during an arrest and later states she felt “at peace” after saying it.

HPD has relieved Gonzalez of duty and is conducting an internal investigation into the matter.

This ended with the police taking the NYPD officer into custody shortly after the encounter.

He was charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Debonet has been relieved of duty with the NYPD. There is also a 20 million dollar lawsuit pending.
