EDIT: XFINITY NOW AVAILABLE FOR AUTHENTICATION! As of 5-5-26 at 3:00 PM PST.
I know streaming/TV have been frustrating for many this season. I am wondering if anyone has been able to authenticate to Mariners.TV on the MLB (or even ESPN) apps via their Xfinity subscription?
For context, yes I have the top Xfinity package and I get Mariners.TV at home when watching on my TV with my cable box. No issues there. But, I am often on the road (within WA, so I’m in the viewing area) or at work when the game is on, and thus unable to be in front of my TV with my cable box. I’d love to be able to stream the game on my phone during such times, but to my knowledge that’s not yet available with Xfinity. I am given the option to authenticate, but the list of cable providers does NOT include Xfinity (as of 5-5-26). See photos with complete list of available cable providers. I know this list of available cable providers to authenticate to has grown (as I have certainly been routinely checking), but no Xfinity as of yet.
Last, I’m aware of the Xfinity stream app. But you unfortunately can’t use said app to stream the game outside of your home Wi-Fi network. So when traveling for work/not at home, Xfinity stream app doesn’t appear to be an option.
Has anyone with Xfinity who is looking to stream the game anywhere but at home found a solution yet? Or is there no hope until one day Xfinity gets added to the list of available authentication cable providers (and who knows when that will be)?
Many thanks to any insight anyone can provide!!
