I finally made the switch today from Xfinity to Quantum fiber. The tech noticed I use an Orbi mesh router system and recommended I just continue using that. He installed my Quantum modem on my main level, plugged it into an Ethernet port that goes to the basement and an Ethernet switch, which then goes up to my top story where the main Orbi router sits.
This semi-worked but the Orbi app could not find the router/internet. I ended up moving the main router down next to the Quantum modem and connected it using another (smaller) switch. Now that router is working fine, however neither of the two Orbi satellite extenders are working. I’ve tried hard resetting them, reconnecting, force reconnecting with an Ethernet cord, etc. Any ideas on how to get these working?
