Slab home, no basement. I was in the process of building a paver patio when surprise! the gravel delivery had a mix up and are going to be a week late. So now I have this foot deep hole basically right up against the foundation of my house that surprise! Forecast went from light rain one day this week to constant rain most of the week. The gravel will get here at the end of the week, so I’ll be able to start finishing the project then but I think I will have to wait several days of dry sunny weather for the hole to dry out after this week of rain. Will this damage my foundation? How long can it stay like this ? As soon as the forecast is several days of dry weather (next week) I plan on sucking the water out with a shop vac. Is that sufficient ? Is this an emergency ? Thanks fam.
