How did you get through failing?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently a mechanical engineering student, and honestly, I’m going through a pretty rough time academically.

I’ve failed classes before, and even now I feel like I’m falling behind again. It’s frustrating because I genuinely want to be an engineer. I enjoy the subject when I understand it, and I can see myself working in this field long-term. But when it comes to exams and keeping up with the pace, I keep stumbling.

What makes it harder is seeing people I started with already graduating while I feel stuck in the same place.

So I wanted to ask those of you who made it through:

Did you ever go through something similar? How did you deal with failing or falling behind? What actually helped you turn things around (study habits, mindset, routines, etc.)?

And at what point did you know you should keep going vs. reconsider?

I’m not looking for motivation clichés — just real experiences and honest advice. Right now I’m really struggling with overcoming Solid Mechanics course, and currently it’s winning me definitely

Thanks in advance, I’d really appreciate hearing your stories.

Storage unit? Where to leave things? Urgent pls

I need some space to store my things(not much to be honest, 2-3 boxes and luggage case) because I’m flying back home (I’m international) due to some circumstances, I’ll be back next semester. Does anyone have any experience leaving stuff in storage units around? Or any recommendations I can leave my things? I tried asking some friends, but most of them are graduating this semester
