Short stay in Rome late sept - seeking to max comfort and location; hotel recs?
[Apologies if I'm missing the Where Should I Stay wednesday thread...]
My partner and I will arrive FCO en route to a longer trip elsewhere in Italy in september. I'm considering adding two nights in Rome upfront for us to get over jetlag and walk around the city a bit, so a hotel that optimizes location but also has strong room comfort would be ideal. I'd originally planned to just burn off some remaining points at the new Thompson, but I don't have any confidence it will be open seeing what's happened with the HR Rome.
Appreciate the feedback.
