37m 6'2" 185lbs. About a year and a half ago I was a sedentary POS alcoholic couch potato. Decided enough was enough and I needed to get back into shape after sidelining it for about a decade. Wish I had a before pic but I wasn't fat just squishy and weak. For the first 6 months I focused mostly on getting moving again things like walking, a lot of beat saber, stuff like that.

Pictured is most of my "gym", all my workouts are at home and I just get creative with it. Not pictured is my heavy bag which is what I'll usually hit if everything else is too sore and needs to recover, my indoor pull up bar, and misc dumbbells.

My typical workout is as follows:

- around 300 sledgehammer swings with the 16lb sledgehammer (43lb weight vest on and 7lbs on each wrist) broken into sets of 60-75.

- in between sledge swing sets and with no more than 20 seconds of rest between sets I'll do 3 or 4 other exercises depending on the day but those can range from pull ups/dips, pushups/burpees, squats, lunges, tire flips, farmers carry, sandbag exercises and more.

- after all that I'll usually finish with a 3 mile run for a total of 15 miles per week (weight vest removed of course)

- every evening for about an hour after dinner/before bed I'll stretch, do some light bodyweight exercises and abs.

I have a goal of 195. I've plateaued at 185 for a while though really struggling to get that last 10 no matter how much I eat. Gonna have to increase weight on some exercises, waiting for a shoulder injury to get better before I can really push myself again with weighted pullups and dips like I did in my 20s when I last reached 195.

Anyway, if you read all that, thanks. I want to inspire more people to get fit and demonstrate you don't need a gym membership or fancy equipment. It doesn't even require what I have you can just use your bodyweight really.
