Best epilator for fine hair? Mine works okay for upkeep but misses the softer hairs
I’m hoping to get some recommendations because I feel like I’m halfway there but not fully happy with what I’m using.
I recently started using a Philips epilator and overall I actually like it. It has been a pretty good replacement for waxing for me, especially for maintenance in between and just keeping things under control without having to book appointments or deal with the mess. For coarser hair it seems to do a decent job, so I do not totally regret buying it.
My issue is with the finer hairs. That is where I feel like it really struggles. It seems to grab the more obvious hairs, but the softer, finer ones are a lot more hit or miss and I end up going over the same area multiple times trying to get everything. Sometimes it still leaves behind those tiny hairs that are definitely visible in certain lighting, which is frustrating because that is kind of the whole reason I wanted something more thorough.
So now I am wondering if this is just how epilators are in general, or if there are certain models that are noticeably better when it comes to fine hair. I do not expect perfection, but I would love something that can pick up finer regrowth better and not just the thicker hairs.
For people who epilate regularly, have you found one that is especially good for fine hair? Or is there some trick to getting better results that I am missing, like angle, speed, skin prep, using it wet vs dry, etc.?
I would really love recommendations before I end up buying a second one and having the exact same issue.
