I thought it would be appropriate to ask in historical costuming because I was looking for historical techniques to finish my set.
I’m making a video game armor set, and have come to a place where i don’t know how I would copy something with the highest level of quality that I can.
On this outfit’s tails and scarf there is a nice trim design. I’m dying linen and getting the absolute perfect color I want to match this, but what do I even call this design? Can I get a bleach this design into my fabric after dying? Am i looking at 20’ of embroidery?
I really don’t want to do something cheap and low quality like fabric paint.
I was considering finding a Celtic wreath lace strip and just sewing that there and living with it, but thought I might ask first.
I appreciate any help or redirection of subs if this ends up not being the appropriate place for this.
