Title says it all. I was sick of oil changes with these cars because the operating temperature of the oil is like 90-100C and 7 quarts shoot out sideways with incredible force. Usually it catches the belly pan a bit causing a huge mess. The Stahlbus drain plug is low profile enough to fit with zero clearance issues on these horizontal drain plugs and the drain hose provided guarantees zero mess. Just be careful to not overtorque the plug as it's only rated for 15 ft-lbs or something similar. Spend the 50 dollars, install it right the first time and enjoy not making a huge fucking mess every time.
I would not put these plugs on any downward facing oil drain plugs like M57/335d. Those don't need anything special comparatively.
