Hello,

I am not French, but am hoping to learn and train in psychoanalysis in Paris. But I can't find any information on training requirements on the websites of the major psychoanalytic associations (L'École de la Cause freudienne, the New Lacanian School).

I have read somewhere that Paris 8's Psychoanalysis Master, while a research degree that does not confer the protected title of psychologist, allows graduates to then gain this title through their formation. Does anyone know whether psychoanalytic formation through these associations is possible for holders of other Master's degrees, e.g. cognitive science from a prestigious French university? Or can one not receive the licence to practise?
