Anyone with an art degree but now doing something entirely different?

I graduated with an art degree about 4 years ago. Had a chance to work as an artist for game studios for about 1.5 years then got laid off.

After that it was impossible for me to get back into the creative world, so now I work as a customer service representative at a print management agency. It is not what I expected to be doing after graduation but it puts food on the table so I kept at it for about 2 years.

And now I’m thinking of switching careers, gonna do a 180 on that and go for something non-art related. I just realised maybe I’m not good enough as an artist to be an artist and I also wanna make a good amount of money for my family, so I decided to keep art as a hobby and explore something else.

I’m wondering if anybody had gone through a similar situation? And what are you doing now? I’d love to hear your story to see if maybe I made the right decision this time!
