Hey everyone,
I’m 22 and living in Toronto. I’ve been working at a vape store since I came to Canada, and honestly I’m at a point where I feel kinda stuck and I don’t know what the smartest career move is
My experience is basically all retail/customer service I’ve gotten pretty good at talking to people and handling fast-paced situations, but I know retail isn’t something I want to do long-term.
I want to start working toward something more stable with better income growth. I’m not scared of hard work at all, I just want a path where if I put in effort, I can actually build a career.
I don’t have a university degree but I’ve completed a 2 year college diploma in computer programming.
I’ve been thinking about stuff like trades (HVAC/electrician), logistics/supply chain, railway jobs, or even something like sales if there’s real growth.
If you were in my position, what would you recommend looking into? And what would be the best first step to take at my age?
