Hello all, I'm wanting to get more into the electronics aspect of the hobby. I have a very limited amount of knowledge at this point, but I have an opportunity to learn something here. Someone gave me a dead Mirage B108 VHF amplifier. The backstory is they accidentally keyed it up a few times with the radio on high power and the rest is history. What would be my best bet as a starting point to track down what was damaged? Is there a protection circuit that I should start with or should I automatically assume the transistor is bad? I believe these were manufactured in the late 70s and into the 80s. Thanks for any help and information. I'm beyond excited to begin this journey into yet another facet of this never ending hobby!!
