I just got a Westinghouse 3500, put the oil in it, connected everything how it stated. I’ve never used a gas one before. When I turned it on it was running, but there was some burning smell and some smoke coming out of the exhaust. I read on Reddit it’s probably I filled the oil too much, so I took some out.
On the dipstick it was in the middle, but I may have been on a slight decline, so I put it on flat level and checked it and I was at half way between low and max.
I used it for about an hour yesterday and only got a normal smelling engine smell, until I would use the pressure to wash, I’d randomly get the burning smell but only slightly. Should I try to take a little more oil out?
Like I said it’s my first one, and I couldn’t find this exact question, so thought I’d ask here. Thank you!
