I was recently treated for a UTI that lasted over two weeks due to waiting for urine culture results and some procrastination. I received antibiotics that were effective initially, but my symptoms—frequent urination, urgency without pain, and no blood—returned. My doctor ordered a second urine culture, which came back negative. Is it possible that my bladder is still inflamed or irritated from the prolonged UTI? How long does this typically last? My urologist suggested a cystoscopy. Can anyone share similar experiences or insights? I hope my symptoms are just due to bladder irritation.
