UPDATE FURBY 2005

Heyyy everyone, I'm the guy who asked for help fixing a 2005 Furby. Just wanted to let you know I couldn't fix it :( I asked my grandpa for help, he knows how to fix electronic toys, but he told me it would cost more to fix it than to just buy a new one lol. Anyway, thanks so much for the recommendations, and I wanted to show you how clean it turned out. I just need to give it a good brush and that's it :)

FURBY 2005 UPDATE

Hi, Furbologists, Yesterday I posted a 2005 Furby here that my boyfriend bought and asked me to fix. Today I was taking off the skin, and it was pretty difficult because I discovered that this model uses mushroom-shaped plastic pieces instead of screws to keep the skin from separating from the body. I discovered a few things, like that the ears are also glued on with plastic, there’s an orange wire that seems to be loose, and the battery compartment is broken on the inside—I’ve already removed the pieces of plastic that were inside. Anyway, I’m trying to figure out how to fix it without moving it around too much because I really don’t want it to break any more than it already is. Should I try and see if it works with the batteries, or should I just give up and just clean it up for my boyfriend? P.S.: I realized that my ’98 Furby looked like it was in shock when it saw the 2005 one naked lol

FURBY 05 NEEDS HELP

Hi Furby fans, my boyfriend bought a 2005 Furby, and even though the seller said it worked, she mentioned before handing it over that the spring in the lid had come loose. I tried fixing it with aluminum foil, but it didn't work. Any recommendations on how to fix it and clean it, too?
