I'm curious how other folks have been thinking about, preparing, or not preparing, for the predicted "Super El Niño" to begin later this year. I read this excellent substack article I found on r/climatechange:

As far as it's related to prepping, I see the potential for this to affect food production in the United States (thinking about California) and abroad. The author of the article also mentions how South and Southeast Asia - specifically Malaysia and Indonesia - have "experienced severe climate stress during recent El Niño events," so if geopolitics still are the way they are in the region come later this year, I'm wondering if maritime shipping will be even more severely impacted. Curious how other folks are seeing the situation and thinking about this.
