I am grateful. I have only used Spirit once in my life, and it was to fly a family member from SMF to FLL for a 3 week trip. I hadn't seen that person in over 2 years at the time, and it was made more possible because it was the cheapest flight option that could be found.
I just really wanted to put that out there and contribute my small story, since I now understand that Spirit Airline is no more. Thank you, Spirit, for briefly reuniting me with someone I so rarely get to see. It's very sad, I was hoping to use you guys as my airline for a future trip or two and it saddens me that I no longer have the option.
Rest easy, Spirit, your contribution of cheaper flights will be remembered by many, and I hope those who had careers in Spirit are able to find a career with other flight carriers very soon. I wish the best endeavors for former Spirit employees, and good luck to you all.
