Now I know that the main pandemic largely started going away by spring or summer 2021 IRL, which is when the earliest start date of the civil war should begin. But there were still cases reported even up till 2023, and that there were several strands that gained popularity around that time.

However, we don’t see this here. It’s largely forgotten once the conflict begins.

I’m just thinking that, from a realistic standpoint, the collapse of American society and that there are rival governments fighting each other wouldn’t make the pandemic go away- it would persist and perhaps lead to a resurgence of infections. Plus, it could even be possible that social distancing would be practiced *even* by militias and soldiers during conflict, but it’s even possible that some governments like PTF would ban all Covid restriction laws for being a “federalist hoax,” for example.

What do y’all think?
