So for context, my 6yo cocker spaniel has her own spot where she's always slept, on my bed. She also has a cozy dogbed in the corner of the room where she sleeps sometimes (rarely), if it's too hot.
Now, I've recently introduced her to my BF and while she seems happy to see him, she stopped hopping on the bed to sleep. Why could these facts be correlated? He sleeps in her place (different pillow, obviously) so when he stays over she usually sleeps in the corner of the bedroom, in her own bed. This is not unusual, but I've noticed she doesn't sleep in her old spot even when it's just us.
I've tried giving her treats on the bed before bedtime and she just hops back down afterwards. During the day, she has no problem to hop on the bed and sleep there. Even at nighttime, she sits next to me while I read but as soon as I close the lights, she leaves.
Nothing seems to work to convince her to sleep in her old spot and I don't know what to do. I was used to hearing her near me as I fell asleep so now it's weird to not have her close anymore. I would wake up with her head literally on my own head, snuggled up on me.
Is she jealous? Is she upset? IDK how to fix this.
