Already Working at 7.5+ LPA — Can Strong Interview Performance Upgrade TCS Digital to Prime?

I’m currently working in an MNC with 7.5+ LPA, and after my upcoming hike it’ll go above 8 LPA. I got shortlisted for TCS Digital interview, but I’m more interested in the Prime role/package.

If I perform really well in the interview and showcase strong projects/skills, is there any chance TCS can upgrade a candidate from Digital to Prime based on interview performance? Anyone experienced this before?

Digital Blr 11 th interview.. can I get prime ? Based on perfomance

Hey hi,

I gave my exam on 22nd April and received my interview selection location details on 30th April. I completed the application filling on 1st May.

Currently, I’m working in an MNC with a package of 7.5 LPA, and after my hike in July it will go above 8 LPA.

Today, I received an interview mail for the Bengaluru Whitefield location on 11th May afternoon. The role mentioned is Digital, which is around 7 LPA, but I’m aiming for the Prime role.

Is there any possibility of getting upgraded to Prime based on interview performance if I perform really well? Since my current company itself will be offering above 8 LPA soon, I’m mainly interested in the Prime package around 9 LPA.

How should I bring this up during the interview in a professional way?

My cousin brother is 22 years old. We come from a very poor family — no own house, not even a two-wheeler. My uncle is not completely healthy, but he still works very hard just to educate his son and give him a better future.

My brother genuinely tried his best in studies, but academics were never easy for him. He takes more time to understand things and is not very mature or confident about handling the outside world. He completed ECE from a college affiliated with (2021–2025 batch), but he still has 3 backlogs remaining. He originally had 11 backlogs and managed to clear 8 after multiple attempts, but he is struggling to clear the remaining subjects despite putting in sincere effort.

After B.Tech, he even joined JSPiders for Java Full Stack coaching, but he still finds it difficult to understand coding and technical concepts. The problem is not laziness or bad habits — he has always been a simple and decent person who genuinely tried hard. But he feels helpless because he cannot fully understand engineering subjects or the tech stack needed for jobs.

Now he feels stuck. He is unable to complete B.Tech, unable to understand coding properly, and unable to get a software job. At the same time, because of his education background and family expectations, he feels ashamed to do labor work, shop work, or small jobs. His father sacrificed so much for his education, so he feels like working in those jobs would make all those efforts meaningless.

He feels sad, useless, and worried that his life may never improve. We also don’t know how to help him move forward.

Can anyone genuinely suggest suitable jobs, career paths, or guidance for someone like him? Any practical advice for his future would really help.
