I am scheduled for TURBT after going to A&E last month for painful blood in urine. One week later a cystoscopy found scatered red patches throughout my bladder. This follows a similar blood in urine incident 2.5 years ago, where a TURBT didn’t show anything other than benign prostate tissue. As well as vague general bladder issues.

I had my TURBT scheduled for upcoming Monday with the urologist who treated me 2.5 years ago, however he is specialized in kidney disease. As such, I decided to contact a bladder cancer specialist who will do the TURBT 1 week later.

I am just wondering / second guessing if I made the right decision or if I should go with the one on Monday. Because I don’t know the severity of waiting one week.
