Found a pretty cool IPL points table simulator

Tried this IPL points table simulator on statsnguts.com and honestly had a lot of fun messing around with all the permutations.

You can see how many points your team can still finish with based on different results, which is pretty handy right now.

I’m one of the co-founders of StatsNGuts, and I wanted to share the story of a project we’ve been building right here in the city.

The Problem: When Cricket Becomes a Casino

Let’s be honest—fantasy cricket has changed. It used to be about showing off your knowledge of the game, but now it feels more like a digital casino. The "sport" part has taken a backseat to transactional, high-stakes gambling that often sucks the fun out of a simple matchday.

Our Story: Stats, Guts, and a 20-Year Friendship

My co-founder and I have been best friends since childhood. We grew up debating scorecards and arguing over player stats long before the IPL was even a thing.

We built StatsNGuts.com because we wanted a platform for people like us: die-hard cricket fans who love the data. We’ve spent the last two years building a site that provides deep-dive analytics—everything from ground history (like why a 192 average in Delhi matters) to player head-to-head match-ups.

What Makes Us Different?

We aren't a betting site. We are a stat-first platform.

  • OG Fantasy Cricket: We host daily and series-long fantasy contests (including a big one for the current Bangladesh vs. NZ series and the IPL) for the pure love of the game.
  • No Money Involved: No entry fees, no gambling. We want to bring back the "Original" fantasy experience where your bragging rights and leaderboard standing actually mean something.
  • Data-Driven: We use AI/ML to help users make smarter picks based on real metrics, not just "vibes."

Why we're sharing this here

We’re currently balancing this with our day jobs because we’re passionate about keeping the "sport" in sports tech. As a Bangalore-based duo, we’d love to get feedback from this community of builders.

If you’re tired of the gambling-heavy apps and just want to test your cricket knowledge against other fans, come check us out.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the UI/UX or even just talk cricket. Cheers!
