Hello, I'm building a universe inspired by high fantasy classics like Lord of the Rings.
The main continent Maecorest consists of three factions:
Vana - Forest Elves are birthed in pod chambers, they regenerate limbs, have a life seed in their heart that can be regrown after death (unless destroyed). The Vana were once humans, have both plant and human organs, and have evolved over time under the worship of the Forest Gods. The Vana worship mainly the God of Growth who seeks to dominate the land no matter what the cost.
Vesperii - Underground dwarves that have become nocturnal. They mostly rely on sonar, have pale skin, pink eyes and have become bloodthirsty, evolving bat like features under worship of Umbrafex the bat-god of the dwarves. They raid the surface at night and feed their god with blood of their hunts.
Shepherds of Eternity - A cult with a mix of races, but mostly human. Seekers of immortality they worship the immortal god of death Mortuvian. Often performing ritualistic sacrifices to extend their own life or transfer souls from the living to animate the dead, the Shepherds of Eternity live in the shadows of ruined cities.

The three factions are locked into a power struggle as pawns for their gods on the continent. There is a world tree in the continent, a source of stability, prosperity and cycling of souls, which is controlled by the Vana, which has the most power and control of the continent. During an ancient war the humans and dwarves fought the Vana and lost; the Vesperii were forced underground and the humans scattered in the ruins of their once great cities. The Vesperii and Shepherds of Eternity however are planning an unholy alliance, to craft a volcanic eruption to blot the sky and weaken the Vana - a perfect time to strike.
My goal is to bring the universe to life through comic books and video games at first. We have published one comic and are finishing up our second one. It takes place in Grim's Refuge which is comprised of refugees displaced by war. It is built within the ruins of an ancient city from a time when all races were united. Without an official government, the city has become a bastion of crime, ruled by gangs and crime syndicates that take advantage of the poor and vulnerable.
The comic follows a young thief Cameron living in Grim's Refuge who gets sent on a dangerous job only to find out it was a dupe in a sinister plan against his family. I wanted to share the comic cover for the second issue:
