I was training my dogs in an empty clearing (my dogs are always leashed) when another owner (let's call him "J") arrived in the same area. He lingered a bit, but kept his distance, so I just kept doing my thing. I was working on down-stays, so I wasn't moving around at all. Then he starts walking towards where I am, seemingly to walk through the clearing and passed me and my dogs, so I just make sure to keep an eye out and move further so my dogs have a better chance of not reacting. I never want to set them up for failure by pushing them passed what I know they can handle.

He keeps walking and I have my back to him, facing my dogs to focus on them and show that I'm not going to engage with him. My dogs are struggling a bit and growling, but I can't move any further at this point (I'm at the edge of the clearing) so I just wait for J to walk passed. Then he full on stops behind me and starts trying to ask me questions; I struggled to hear over the sound of my dogs now barking and trying to lunge, but I think I heard him ask "are they gonna bite?" I tell him to please give me some space, and he finally gets the hint and walks away.

Now, I really cannot see what about my body language and my actions seemed like an invitation to approach, stop and try to chat me up. FFS I had my back turned and kept moving further and further away from the guy, what about ANY of this says "please come and talk to me"??

It was the second time something like this happened with this guy in that same spot. I don't want to jump to conclusions as it's the only two times I've seen the guy ever, but it felt weird and intrusive.

I'm not looking for advice, I'm just frustrated. I work really hard to train my dogs at a pace the sets them up for success, and it's frustrating to have that compromised by other owners who seem hell bent on ignoring what I would consider basic dog etiquette.

I put in an order for some larger items at a big box store earlier this month, and paid about 30$ in delivery fees. It so happens that CP were in charge of the delivery, and aside from the delivery taking almost 3 weeks when the items were marked as "Ready to ship", the whole process was a pain. Keep in mind that I do not have a car, and it's impossible for me to leave the house right now, which is why I paid for doorstep delivery.

The day finally came where the tracking said my things were Out for Delivery. I live in a condo building, and when the doorbell rang, I buzzed it open expecting the items to be left in our secure mail room.

When I went down later that day to collect everything, I was disappointed to find 2 notices of "Attempted delivery" in my mailbox saying I could collect my packages at the post office the next day, and no packages anywhere. I was really frustrated because the whole point of me paying for delivery is that I am not able to go anywhere right now - if I was able to go the the post office to collect packages, I would have gone to the store in the first place!

So I call CP to tell them my situation, and the worker on the line is very condescendingly explaining to me that they can't leave packages outside of mailboxes because of liability (it's not like EVERY other delivery services does it or like we have a LOCKED mail room for this exact purpose 🙄). They blamed me for "not being home" when I absolutely was (I work remotely, and again, I can't leave my house atm!) and acted like I should've known better.

They finally tell me that they will attempt the delivery again the next day, and will I be able to come down and meet the CP worker, to which I say yes, and to call me if there is any problem.

The doorbell rings the next day and I jump to to go answer and get down to the lobby, where the worker barely looks at me when I say hi with a smile. They start blaming me right away, saying how they "rang [the] doorbell the other day, and [I] didn't answer" also in a very condescending tone. I said that I did answer, I buzzed the door open and that I didn't know I was supposed to come down. I explain the whole situation again, and they just seem annoyed like they want to just go on with their day as fast as possible. On their way out the door, they tell me "You're supposed to have 2 packages, you got 2 notices." to which I say yes... with a question in my voice, and one package in my hands. They then tell me, like it's my fault, that I said "package" *singular* on the phone to the other worker, so they assumed I only wanted one of the 2 packages brought over... are you kidding me!? In what world does it make any sense for someone to assume that I would only want one package delivered, and go collect the other one on location, when I specifically said I don't have a car and cannot take myself over to the post office to collect anything? And if I did say "package", then shouldn't they have made the effort to clarify with me, seeing as they know I have 2 packages?

I'm very disappointed in this whole situation. It feels like they went out of their way to be as inefficient, unhelpful and unpleasant as possible.
