Around 7:30pm we had circuit breaker trip. I take the opportunity to see what all is on that circuit (too much in my opinion, but I'm not an electrician). The power on that circuit is off for 10 minutes maximum.
Just over an hour ago at 3:30am (the BEST time for these things), I get woken up by one of the upstairs bedroom smoke detectors chirping.
The smoke detector model is SMI105-AC. It's interconnected and hardwired to AC, and it was installed just less than 4 months ago. It was chirping once per minute, and flashing green about 15 times per minute. I can't find anything that matches that specific condition on the owners manual.
Anyway, after a bit I just pressed the test/reset button and it's back to a normal operating state. If the chirp was caused by a low battery I look forward to be woken up early in 48 hours. If not, what was happening? Can loss of power cause a hiccup?
Later this morning I'll turn off that same circuit breaker to confirm that it is connected to that smoke detector.
