[Casual] Some quick points on using "Explode" against Toji's Worm

  1. Yuta knows the worm is an arsenal. Destroying it off the bat would be a completely logical thing to do
  2. Toji's Worm is unable to defend itself as it's too low IQ (Hanami couldn't) and Toji has no way of defending it
  3. The explosion will damage/stun Toji. As we see with Inumaki, the explosion affected the floor. Toji's worm is wrapped around his entire body
  4. If Yuta "Explode"s the worm, there's a chance it will delete all Toji's weapons inside as we see with Geto's CSM, Toji doesn't know if the Curses will be released or die with him. We also have it strongly implied that anything in Megumi's Shadows will stay there after he dies. This means there's a possibility anything in the Worm when it dies, will stay lost forever.

"The power of Yuta's copied CTs is limited by how much Rika ate. This is why his Cleave on Sukuna was so weak."

"Cursed Speech won't work against Maki or Toji because they are treated as objects by Domain Expansions and Cursed Speech doesn't work against objects."

Something that is interesting is how the moment in ch. 251 where Megumi's will is extinguished parallels Sukuna's defeat where Megumi regains his body after regaining his will to live.

We see when Yuji lands the final blow that to free Megumi is dependent on Megumi willing to be released. This is why Sukuna is trying to convince Megumi to give up again, if he can do this then he can stay in the body.

This matches when in Yuta's Domain, they can't free Megumi because of his will to live being extinguished atp

The will to live only matters for Yuji's punches.

JL will extinguish Cursed Objects regardless of a person's will. And Yuji's punches are never said to make JL more effective, only increase the chance Megumi doesn't also die.

To me, it seems the JL was to destroy the Cursed Object to some degree which is dangerous because of how it's linked to Megumi but it was on Yuji to free Megumi as JL is still highly lethal (normally a 1% survival rate, while Yuji can increase it, there's still going to be a high chance they won't risk) and Yuta turned off the JL once Yuji made contact. That's when they thought they won

If the plan was JL Megumi, then Megumi's will being extinguished would be irrelevant to the success of the plan. Yuji's punches don't make JL more effective, only less lethal to Megumi. So why did the plan fail here if the plan was to rely on JL to be the finishing blow?

If Sukuna lived it 3 times, how is it supposed to kill Sukuna, Yuji, Kashimo, Kenjaku, etc?

Clearly a very weak attack w/ no actual feats

Even if JL couldn't kill (deliver a finishing blow by itself) anyone, it would still end most fights. When Sukuna was hit by Yuta's JL, it immediately burnt his entire body and left him stunned long enough for Yuta and Yuji to land blows on him.

Imagine Kashimo being burnt by JL like that, then Yuta slicing one of his arms in half (just taking for granted he doesn't go for the heart/head), and then Rika punching him straight in the chest.

There's no world in which he wins that fight afterwards

What are some common misconceptions in regards to Yuta? His abilities, capabilities, narrative, etc

Examples:

* Cursed Speech only works against those w/ ears

Not true, it repeatedly works against those w/o ears. Hanami, Geto's Centipedes, the curses Inumaki fought in JJK 0

* Yuta's Shrine had relatively low damage because he only ate Yuji's pinky

Not true, the power of Yuta's copied CTs is never said or implied to be connected to what he much Rika eats. The only things that are limited are uses and information gained

* Maki said JJH can't defeat Kenjaku through conventional means

While true she said this, she said it in Chapter 211 before Yuta returns from Sendai. Meaning even taking her statement at face value, in her mind, the only CT Yuta had was CS. EoS Yuta has gained a multitude of new abilities that make this statement not so cut and dry.
