Help - Art school applications
Hi! I’m currently doing my portfolio to apply to different architecture BA programs at very ‘artsy’ schools in my country. Problem: I’m not that artsy. I love architecture and I’m great at the technicality of drawing etc but I suck at curating a portfolio with artistic thought behind it. I would be really happy to hear some tips on how to approach a ‘golden thread’
Right now I’m starting with:
-non-spaces (kinda dystopian themed/ not lived in)
-my spaces (places/monuments that mean something to me + self portrait)
- my inspirations + ideas of how I would approach changes in the current city I’m living in and basic mixing modernism and traditionalism with different mediums
How much of a thread/ logical structure is even needed? I would hope not too much since I’m not applying for regular art?
I’m happy for ANY tips! Just pls be nice lol
