Cheap pc speakers for home practice?

Hi, has anyone tried cheap PC speakers for home practice on their bass. I have full range speakers called Creative Pebble.

AI says Pebble (original) is 4.4W. It seems to be loud enough to hear clearly when im practicing, and it hasnt seemingly farted out on the bass notes. So is there any downside to using these as opposed to what would be a much more expensive bass practice amp

Which sound would you recommend, studio monitors or bass amp? Assuming the bass amp will be a cheap 20 watt one from one of the big brands

These measurements suggest that the darkglass pedal boosts upper mids massively when blended in, which is similar to tube screamer and guitar amp speakers frequency response (also elevates mids and upper mids). So then, with this range boosted, does that mean a bass amp doesnt need as many watts any more? as the upper mids are already loudly perceived by the human ear after being produced by this pedal
