Kindly help me to find my childhood favorite cartoon

I remember watching it in CN India, it used be aired at late nights, the story plot goes like this - two boys who are school children, hero have the good power with him but he don't know that it is a super power (if I remember correctly, the super power goes with him, it moves like a jelly buddy) and coming to villain, he is abandons the house out of anger and moves to some dry / desert like place, the negative power gets unleashed during an excavation!

Another clue/memory: - these super powers have background / back life story aswell!
