Raye, this music may contain hope
I hadn't really heard Raye before and then they played a song on the radio and I was hooked. I went and bought the most expensive concert tickets I ever bought for her upcoming tour. I have been waiting for the family to be out for the night so I could give the album a proper listen. First thing I noticed was that I could really crank up my amp. I rarely go above "40" but good lthos album is recorded with of dynamic range and maybe on the quieter side. As well as her voice she's known for her production and it shows. It's refreshing being able to hear every word, every nuance and sound clearly and cleanly. It's one album I wish I could hear on a really huge sound system. time to go an audition some ridiculous speakers at my local hifi store. Great contrast between huge orchestral moments and quiet spoken voice and jazz club vibes.
I think this could make a great audio reference album
What are your thoughts. I would be interested in seeing a sound wave analysis to see what the dynamic range actually is.
