I have been in stage 3 for 219 days for SSDI case
In stage 3 of the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) application process and had a conversation with my Disability Determination Services (DDS) worker about the timeline for my application. He informed me that after completing the Comprehensive Evaluation Exam (CE Exam) on May 19th, 2026, I can expect another 6 weeks for the decision to be made.
On my SSI application it’s at stage 2 and not moving at all.
This process has been quite lengthy, and I reside in Montana. Additionally, I have recently switched to a new healthcare provider who specializes in pain management. I am currently undergoing another MRI to address my severe stenosis, and I am quite concerned about the potential outcome. I hope I haven’t expressed my concerns excessively. When do I update my (DDS) worker about new provider and will it prolong things.
