KONKR FIT: I Canceled My Order
TL;DR: I canceled my KONKR FIT HX470 order. The device still looks great on paper, but AYANEO’s communication around shipping has been too unclear for me to keep backing the order. Their website still listed late-April shipping well into May, while support privately told me shipping had slipped into May with no clear date. Delays happen, but outdated product info, vague support responses, and no public update made me lose confidence in buying directly from AYANEO.
I wanted to share my experience with the KONKR FIT order process as a general warning for anyone considering buying directly from AYANEO.
I recently decided to cancel my KONKR FIT HX470 order after several weeks of unclear communication, missed expectations, and confusing support responses.
The delay itself was not the main issue. Delays happen, especially with smaller handheld manufacturers. The bigger problem was the lack of clear communication around the delay.
When I ordered, AYANEO’s website stated that KONKR FIT units would start shipping in late April. We are now in the third week of May, and as of my last check, the product page still says “Shipping starts end of April.”
At the same time, AYANEO support told me directly over email that shipping had been delayed into May due to production capacity. Later, they told me the exact shipping date was still unclear, that production was ongoing, and that my April order likely would not be included in the first batch.
I asked multiple times whether the mid-May estimate applied to all KONKR FIT orders, only my order, or orders placed during a specific window. I also asked whether AYANEO planned to issue a broader public update to customers. Those questions were either not answered clearly or not answered at all.
At one point, I asked again for clarification on the shipping timeline, and the response I received was about the shipping fee not changing. I never asked about shipping fees.
That was the point where I felt like I couldn’t keep giving them the benefit of the doubt.
It’s especially frustrating because AYANEO really does make interesting products. The KONKR FIT still looks amazing on paper, and I was genuinely excited for it.
But at this point, it feels like AYANEO’s customer base is split into two groups: people who don’t fully know what they’re signing up for, and people who love the devices enough to put up with the company’s poor communication because they know they’ll probably get the device eventually.
I thought I could be in that second group this time. I knew AYANEO’s reputation going in, and I was willing to be patient because the KONKR FIT looked like such a perfect device for me. But after this experience, I just can’t get behind backing them directly as a customer.
I also don’t feel comfortable recommending the ordering experience to my YouTube audience when the company still has outdated shipping information live on the product page and has not provided clear public communication to customers.
AYANEO has publicly talked about improving their practices, but from my experience here, I haven’t seen that improvement reflected in the actual customer experience. So far, it feels like all talk and no follow-through.
For anyone considering ordering, I’m not saying don’t buy the device. It may end up being excellent. But I would strongly recommend knowing what kind of customer experience you may be signing up for, especially if you care about accurate shipping timelines, clear support responses, or public updates when delays happen.
For now, I’ve requested a cancellation and refund. I may still buy one later if units start showing up secondhand or on eBay, but I don’t feel comfortable continuing to deal with AYANEO directly as a brand right now.
