My husband just got his first official duty station in North Carolina, and I currently live in Long Beach, WA. I want to fly, but my pup is a avid barker (trained and socialized for 6 years, just likes to bark at people) so I have been considering driving to make it easier on him and hopefully me. The highlighted route is the one I'm planning to take. Has anyone done this drive? What was the weather like around mid to end of May? What kind of rest stops/hotels were along the way? Also, if you guys had experience with bringing a reactive pup to the airport? All ideas are fully appreciated!
