Hey guys, thinking about buying a Renault Zoe 2021 and wanted to get some advice
I work with Uber Eats and drive around 150 miles a day, so fuel costs are killing me and I’m seriously considering going electric. This would be my first EV, so I’m kinda going in blind here
I was supposed to buy one from a friend (he’s had it for a while, includes the charger, I know the history etc), but he’s been saying “I’ll sell it” for like 3 months now and nothing… so I’m starting to look at other options on Autotrader as well
Just wanted to ask:
- Is the Zoe 2021 a good choice for this kind of daily mileage?
- Anything specific I should watch out for when buying one? Common issues, battery degradation, etc?
- How realistic is it to rely on public charging at first? I’ll be getting a home charger soon (looking into something that works with Octopus Intelligent), just not sure which one yet lol
- Any tips for someone coming from petrol cars to EV? Like habits, charging routines, stuff that people only learn after owning one
Since this one from my friend comes with the charger and I know the car, it feels like a safer option, but at this point I don’t even know if he’ll actually sell it 😅
